Welcome to Americas first figure skating club where skating begins BRBRIce Breakers BRBRBeginning adult skaters and those who used to skate but are rusty may want to come out on Monday nights during the Club season During this time our professional staff offers free group lessons The atmosphere is fun friendly and supportive These lessons are so successful that many choose to continue as a group afterwards BrBRThe PSCHS offers many opportunities to develop in all the figure skating disciplines BRBRPatch brBRThe ice is divided into approximately 20 different areas or patches and a person is assigned to only one or two areas The skater can then practice traditional figures on this clean smooth ice If you like discipline intense concentration and focus on detail this is for you BRBrMoves in the Field BRBRThis activity has replaced patch figures as a prerequisite for competition but for the rest of us combines the discipline of patch with the flow of dance Because most adults find this activity difficult it is perfect for those of you who want to excel at something few others will attempt BRBRFreestyle BRBRSkaters use the whole ice to practice jumps yes even some of us over 40 do spins and fancy footwork Some skaters who have been lucky enough to find partners at the same level have been known to practice pair skating at these times BrBRDance BRBRMany adults choose to learn dance It is a little easier on the knees than the high impact action of free skating and many adults can continue ice dancing long after giving up free style If you basically love music and rhythms and just like to have a good social time then learn to dance on ice BRBRVoice6106428700BRwwwpschsorg
